The restoration of Ayr's finest Georgian town houses is due to start on site next week as the priority project in the Ayr THI.

The Grade A listed pink buildings are a gateway landmark to the town but the condition has been deteriorating for many years. The conservation of the group buildings has required a careful management of a funding package with the indivdual flat and shop owners by Ayr Renaissance. 

CBC Stone have been appointed as main contractor for the works for the £1.5 million project. The restored buildings will be revealed for the town's enjoyment in Spring 2014
