ARPL design emphasis has always responded primarily to the site and it’s environs and an understanding of the clients needs. We have accreditation in sustainable design and caring for the environment is a fundamental factor both with our work with existing and conservation of historic buildings, and the new build projects.

Consideration of energy efficiency, use of recycled and natural materials and reduction of waste and pollution in production are all aspects of sustainable design . This design approach has led to the innovative use of materials and new technologies and evaluating the performance of a building’s micro-climate.

New Housing, Ballantrae A development of new houses for a local Housing Association in an existing small town in South West Scotland, optimises the solar benefits of the site in it’s energy use. View Case Study

Fish Hatchery, Catrine Completed in 2008, the Catrine fish hatchery on the River Ayr is a project which seeks to help re-vitalise a depressed town. The construction and use of natural materials ensures a healthy clean environment for the fish. View Case Study
