ARPL success at GIA Design Awards 2014

The Glasgow Institute of Architects Annual design Awards have recognised ARPL's work at New Bridge Street in Ayr with a commendation for exemplary conservation work.

The repair and restoration of three Georgian tenements was part of the Ayr Townscape Heritage Initiative implemented by Ayr Renaissance, the regeneration company operated by South Ayrshire Council. The £1.5m project was carried out by CBC Stone, a specialist conservation contractor, and involved stonework, window and roof repairs coupled with extensive paint removal to restore the buildings back to their original design.

The work was overseen by Lynne Yuille, one of our specialist conservation accredited architects , over a fourteen month construction period.
