ARPL win Dumfries Town Centre regeneration design competition
The Glasgow Institute of Architects and The Stove Network, Dumfries have announced that ARPL Architects have won the design competition for ideas to regenerate the Mid-Steeple quarter in Dumfries Town centre. The competition was an open entry for designers to propose ideas which would offer the chance of the regeneration of a declining portion of Dumfries Town centre.
The judges concluded their citation by stating - "We felt confident that the scheme would bring people and business to the area and would breath a new life and vibrancy to the mid steeple quarter. " www.gia.org.uk . ARPL's design also came out on top of the public vote carried out during the exhibition in Dumfries.
The designs will be on display in the South Block, Glasgow from 30th June for three weeks
